ALTA VIA 1 - LE TOR DES GEANTS

Alta Via Trail n 1

​Thuillettaz is located along the Alta Via N.1 also called the Alta Via dei Giganti, between Stage 14 Colle di Champillon / Saint-Rhémy and Stage 15 Saint-Rhémy / Colle Malatrà. Departing from the RIFUGIO CHAMPILLON, you will arrive in about 6H55 at the Borgo of SAINT-RHEMY. You will see the bridge over the Torrent at the bottom, cross it and at the end of the bridge follow the track to the left.After 100 meters (when the trees end) you will see on the right the yellow signs indicating the path to go up towards the LAVAL Village. Go through the village and follow the paved road until you reach the main municipal road.Take a right and continue for about 400 meters, you will find Thuillettaz on your left.From Thuillettaz you reach the Alta Via in just a few minutes, reaching the Village of Les Gorres, Suil, Mottes, Devies and continue to Col Malatra

Haute Route n 1

Thuillettaz est situé le long de l'Alta Via N.1, également appelée Alta Via dei Giganti, entre l'étape 14 Col de Champillon/Saint-Rhémy et étape 15 Saint-Rhémy/Col Malatrà. Au départ du Col de Champillon, vous arriverez dans 6H55 au Bourg de SAINT-RHEMY. Vous verrez le pont sur le Torrent en bas, traversez-le et suivez la piste à gauche.
Après 100 mètres (lorsque les arbres terminent), vous verrez à droite les panneaux jaunes indiquant le sentier à suivre pour monter au village de LAVAL. Traversez le village et suivez la route goudronnée jusqu'à la route municipale Principale.
Tournez à droite et continuez sur environ 400 mètres. Vous trouverez Thuillettaz sur votre gauche. D'après Thuillettaz, vous vous reconnecterez à la Alta Via 1 dans quelques minutes, après le village Gorres, suivez à droite sur la route goudronnée en direction de Suil, Mottes, Devies et continuez pour Col du Malatra.

LE GRAND TOUR DES COMBINS

The Grand Tour des Combins

​In 2024, the Tour des Combins and the Tour du Saint-Bernard will merge to create the Grand Tour des Combins to better meet hiker demand.

The Tour Des Combins is a fantastic hike of 10 days between Italy and Switzerland, through a distance of about 200 km of marked routes, at an altitude ranging from 1,300 to 2,800 meters.

La Thuillettaz is located at the crossroads between the Colle di Champillon-Colle del Malatra stage and the Colle di Champillon-Colle del Grand San Bernardo stage

Thuillettaz is far away 30- minute walk from the village of Saint-Rhémy STEP No. 5: REFUGE CHAMPILLON/SAINT-RHEMY (approximately 6H5) and is the perfect stop after the long day's journey . Arrived at the Bourg of Saint-Rhémy and crossed the bridge, you follow the track and after 100 meters you take the small path on the right that goes to the village of Laval. After Laval continues to the right on the paved road for about 600 meters : Thuillettaz is there on the left .

Col du Grand Saint Bernardo VARIANT: Starting from Thuillettaz , just before Laval , take a beautiful path that leads directly above the village of Saint Rhémy reaching the large square where the Via Francigena path starts again the and therefore the Col of Gran San Bernardo .

Refuge FRASSATI VARIANT: From Thuillettaz you reach the Alta Via 1 in just a few minutes, reaching the Village of Les Gorres, Suil, Mottes, Devies and continue to Refuge Frassati.

Le Grand Tour des Combins

En 2024, le Tour des Combins et le Tour du Saint-Bernard fusionneront pour créer le Grand Tour des Combins afin de mieux répondre à la demande des randonneurs.

Le Grand Tour des Combins est une randonnée fantastique qui se déroule en 9 étapes, c'est à dire DIX jours entre l'Italie et la Suisse sur une distance d'environ 200 km de sentiers balisés, à une altitude allant de 1.300 à 2.800 mètres.

La Thuillettaz est située à la croisée des chemins entre l'étape Colle di Champillon-Colle del Malatra et l'étape Colle di Champillon-Colle del Grand San Bernardo

Refuge Frassati Variant: D'après Thuillettaz, vous vous reconnecterez à la Alta Via 1 dans quelques minutes, après le village Gorres, suivez à droite sur la route goudronnée en direction de Suil, Mottes, Devies et continuez pour le Refuge Frassati.
